Free Licensed Voices for People who have Lost their Voices

Losing your voice is like losing your fingerprint, the sound that carries your laughter, anger or your story. For years, technology spoke for us but not like us. Now, through an extraordinary initiative offering free licensed voices for people who have lost their voices, you can reclaim it.

Two African sisters sit together in a softly lit home recording space. One wears headphones and speaks calmly into a microphone, while the other watches with a warm, proud smile. A laptop on the table shows audio waveforms, and a lamp in the background casts a gentle glow. The scene feels intimate and authentic, highlighting love, connection, and shared purpose. | © ChaGPT generated

Voice recording (ChaGPT generated)

I have had a speech disability ever since I was two years old. I had just begun to talk when... That is a story for another day.

For years, I have relied on a text-to-speech app to communicate. The first time I used it, I wasn’t convinced, it felt disorienting but it was a necessity.

I used to depend on foreign voices, but now I have a voice that sounds more like me. A voice donated by my sister. How is this possible? Senses Hub has partnered with ElevenLabs to offer free, state-of-the-art voice licenses to persons who have lost or are significantly losing their voice due to medical or degenerative conditions and even non-speaking autistics.

5 As and Q

Among the 5As and Q of assistive technology (AT) is adaptability. This means that assistive technologies should be customized to the individual’s needs. We have been championing localization of AT and this innovation is a huge step in the right direction particularly in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

The Science Behind the Innovation

Here’s how it works:
ElevenLabs uses a few audio samples of your past voice, or a close family member’s to recreate a digital voice model. That model is then integrated into your text-to-speech device or communication app.

This is how inclusion is powered by artificial intelligence. This is made possible by empathy, ethics, and innovation.

The other As

The other 2As in the 5A and Q is availability and affordability. Of course these things come at cost and at times and for most of us, if even if we sell everything we have and save for years, some of us would still struggle affording them.

Thanks to SensesHub and ElevenLabs, you too can reclaim your voice, if you need this kind of innovation, please take a few moments to fill out the application form contained in the following link; https://forms.gle/EpeNPYuMJxJCGEcc8

This is a limited opportunity to gain access to premium voice technology at no cost.
