Accessibility statement

EnableMe is committed to make our website accessible to everyone, regardless of technology or ability. We work continually within our organization and implementation-partners to improve the accessibility and usability of our platform so we can provide equal access to all users.

As a part of our commitment to accessibility and inclusion, our website is accessible for a broad range of assistive technologies such as:

  • Operating system or browser based screen magnifiers
  • Screen-readers
  • Popular text-to-speech software
  • Operating system speech packages
  • Braille readers

Every visitor of our website should be able to access the content on our website. During the development of this site we made sure that you should be able to:

  • Change colours and contrast levels
  • Zoom in up to 400% without having text cut-off
  • Navigate our pages using just a keyboard
  • Navigate our pages using speech recognition software
  • Navigate directly to content-areas
  • Listen to our website-content using a screen reader

To ensure our accessibility-goals we follow the available standards and guidelines and involve accessibility best-practices whenever possible.

WCAG Standards

Our website adheres to conform to the level AA of the standards of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines are organized around four base principles which state that a website should be:

  • Perceivable – Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.
  • Operable – User interface components and navigation must be operable.
  • Understandable – Information and the operation of user interface must be understandable
  • Robust – Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

Readability and Content

Whenever possible we try to keep the website’s text as simple as possible to understand.

As our platform is in a rapid process of development, there are currently some known limitations to accessibility:

  • Some embedded videos are not yet fully accessible: This means you may not be able to pause / play or change the speed of the videos.
  • We do not use "simple language" in all areas
  • We do not have sign-language content (also not for the texts)

Assistive Technologies

To facilitate and improve the experience of digital content we provide our users with a short list of recommended tools and assistive technologies:

  • AbilityNet provides help on using your device if you have a disability
