CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) Movie wins Best Picture Oscar Award.

The 94th edition of Academy awards popularly known as the Oscars took place on Sunday in Hollywood Carlifornia USA. In the first of its kind, a disability focused movie won an Oscar award for the best picture.

In the first of its kind, a disability centred movie won an award for the best picture.Child of Deaf Adults (CODA) is about a daughter raised by deaf parents, who struggles to help her parents in their fishing business while aggressively trying to pursue her passion in music. 

The movie highlights the struggles of the deaf community and the barriers to inclusion.  In the end, the workers in the fishing business owned by the deaf parents take it upon themselves to learn sign language to easily communicate with the family and the daughter also pursues her singing passion.
