I want kids to see they can also make it in life

Winfred Wanjiku is a Kenyan Disc jockey, also known as DJ Wiwa. She operates her machines using her feet and toes. With her Music, DJ Wiwa wants to show kids that they can get the most out of life.

Winfred Wanjiku is a Kenyan Disc jockey, also known as DJ Wiwa.  
Winfred has loved music since she was a baby. Her mom inspired her to start DJ’ing in 2016. “My mom told me I would be a wonderful DJ, and that is how it all started.” Winfred says. Her mom is also whom motivates DJ Wiwa’s the most. Wiwa said: “She wants the best for me in life”.

DJ Wiwa operates her machines using her feet and toes. And with her Music, DJ Wiwa wants to show kids that they can get the most out of life. She wants to show kids with disabilities that they can also make it in life.  

Music and DJ’ing helps Winfred to express herself. Music helps her to maintain mentally healthy. Music and being creative also helps to express yourself and by that have a emotional outlet.

After joining a DJ Academy in 2018, DJ Wiwa finds her own gigs. This is not easy, but when it works out the satisfaction is high.

Wiwa’s massage for everyone is to “Be patient and never stop doing what you love, be smart in everything you do!
